    Orientations Explained


    Loopy comes in multiple orientations, including: Righty (default), Lefty, and Ambidextrous (for select models, only).

    Please see below for more information to help with deciding which Loopy is best for you!

    Additional Information:

    • Which orientation should I purchase?
        Loopy is available in Righty (for those who hold their phones with their RIGHT hand), Lefty (for those who hold their phones with their LEFT hand), and, for select models, Ambidextrous (which allows for use with either hand).  *Ambidextrous models are only available for older model Loopy's and select, (and usually) smaller phone models at this time.
    • Why do all Loopy Cases not have the same orientation options?
        Popularity is a huge part of this.  If the model is super popular, we're able to offer a Lefty or Righty model.  In contrast, if a model phone is not as popular, we'll offer an Ambidextrous version to allow for a larger array of colors/designs to be offered for that model.  In addition to this, the phone's size will also help determine this (in many cases).  Regardless of what options are offered, a TON of research and in-field testing goes into the design of each Loopy to ensure that the loop placement is perfect for that device.
    • Can I have Lefty, Righty, and Ambidextrous orientation all in the same Loopy Case?
        Since the loop orientation is physically set in the case itself, this is not possible. But don't worry! If you order one orientation and find it isn't for you, we offer a 30 day return policy!
    • Returning lefty customer?
        Welcome back!  We've updated our website as of summer 2020 to have an all-new drop-down selector to pick your orientation!  This allows you to order the correct Loopy without having to enter 'LEFTY' in the notes, like we had to in the past.  We hope that this is much more convenient for you! :)
    • What is an Ambidextrous model?
        This is a new model we've been working on for select devices.  It's not always possible to offer Lefty and Righty models for all devices due to popularity and the age of some older phones.  This new model has the loop directly down the middle.  Don't worry - we wouldn't offer it if we didn't stand behind it.  It is only offered for older models with phone sizes that allow for it to happen!  *Please note that this orientation is only available for select models and cannot be requested for others if not available on the drop-down.

    Beauty meets safety

    I have had loopy cases for several years now. This one is my favorite! Sunflowers are whimsical and remind me of sunshine; and as always the super loop to keep my phone from falling regardless of what I'm doing. I'm a fan!

    Once you go Loopy you don't go back

    I was worried I wouldn't like the ambidextrous loop but I honestly don't notice a difference from my righty case I had for my previous phone. Since I started using loopy cases I only buy phone models that loopy makes cases for because I love them that much.

    Love Loopy cases

    My husband was going to order the Google Pixel 6a for me but they didn't have a loopy case for it. So I got the Pixel 6 so that I could still have my Loopy. I love my Loopy, makes it so easy to hold/carry the phone, especially since the phones keep getting bigger!

    Its just the best there is

    ... but

    I was even happier with the case for pixel 2

    I feel this loop is placed too far down on the case, such that one cannot balance the phone properly when flipping it over

    Then again, I see that that is probably the size of the phones mistake. It works properly when using the phone.

    All in all, soooo happy. I just bought too large a phone :P

    With the larger phone models, we studied the way people held their phones to understand where exactly to put the loop. This took A LOT of work, but after tons and tons of iterations, we put the loop placement on all models exactly where you need it to allow for the most versatile and high-performing Loopy experience possible! This is why we moved the placement over and angled it in the slight way we did (it's not just angled, but moved closer to the palm of your hand). This allows your finger to be comfortably in the loop without having to reach for it. It's essentially in the place you'd already put your finger.

    I do think the loop is a good idea. The only drawback I have found so far is that it doesn't fit in all vent clips.

    A Must Have!

    I was so happy when the cases for Pixel 6 finally came out. I was actually waiting to get a new phone until there was a Loopy case for it. Seriously. I loved it that much on my old phone, that I couldn't imagine getting another phone without it. They last forever (I used the same one for over 4 years in my pixel 3) and I never drop my phone anymore!! A MUST have!!

    Hold Your Phone with Your Left Hand?


    Do you HOLD your phone with your left hand?  If so, you'll want to request a LEFTY Loopy!  It's no problem because we make them, too! :)


    In short, the hand that grabs your phone (most of the time) is the orientation you want for your Loopy Case.


    All Loopy Cases are righties by default.  If you'd like a left-handed Loopy, please choose Lefty in the drop-down menu!  Returning Lefty customers: We now use this new drop-down system and no longer use cart order notes for Lefty noting as of summer 2020! :)


    Additional Info:

    Having trouble deciding?  Simply answer this question: which hand do you hold your phone with MOST of the time? If the left hand, please request a LEFTY model via the instructions above. If the right hand, no note is needed since this is the default orientation for Loopy :)


    Can I still use my phone with my right hand if I get a lefty model?  Absolutely. Most of us here at Loopy HQ use our cases with both hands with EASE. Our loops are made to be comfortable and versatile for use with both of your hands. The loop angle is simply there to give you maximum comfort with your dominant hand, but does not hinder your ability to use it with the other.
